Vizky FAQ
If you have any technical problems with the demo?
We'll help you.
Before you can start to play the demo you need to download Vizky, the MPS client software that is used to render 3D graphic. Here we give you some tips if you have technical problems. We hope it can help you get many exciting hours of the game.
About Vizky:
You need to download and install a plug-in from Vizrt, the world's largest real-time 3D graphic render for broadcasting which has several major TV channels on the customer lists, including CNN, BBC, ESPN, CBS, FOX, Sky News, CCTV, NHK.
This software can be found at the download page
System requirements to run the client:
Windows XP SP 2 or Vista with SP1. Browser: IE6, IE7 and Firefox on DirectX 9 compatible video card
Currently, we are not ready client for the Mac, but we do what we can to get this ready for launch. Unfortunately, there are still some issues that need to be solved.
I can not install the client:
Vizky for Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows, and Firefox is an MSI installation package that is downloaded automatically after the user has selected the installation. The installation also includes the registration of Active-X component.
- Do you have the client installed, but it does not run? See if you are in the top of your browser has approved the execution of ActiveX.
- IE must be restarted after the installation. This should be done automatically in the installation when it comes to Internet Explorer. On the other hand, you need to restart Firefox manually.
- You will need to install the client with administrator privileges on your computer, so you do when you install other programs on your computer.
- Your browser must have the security that recognizes that the ActiveX installed and executed.
- If your computer is a corporate machine, you must have the authority to run the MSI packages and approve the Active X from your network administrator. Is this not the case, you can not install the program without the network administrator to assist you.
The machine is slow or the graphics are poor:
Experience shows there are some errors in the video drivers. The safest course is to upgrade the driver for your video card.
To find out which card you have, do as follows:
-
Click the "Start" and then "Run".
-
Type "dxdiag" in the open field and click the OK button.
-
Direct X-tool opens. Click on the tab "Monitor". How to find what kind of card you have and who is the manufacturer.
-
On the "system" tab you can see the Direct X version you have installed on your machine. This will be Direct X 9.0c or higher.
When you now know which card you have in your computer, you can use these links to upgrade the drivers.
Intel: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics
NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
ATI: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
If you do not perform the upgrade or continue to have problems after the upgrade, you can change the "Graphic mode" for Vizky client to the Open GL
On any given graphic card with the driver works Open GL better than DirectX. Therefore, we have created an easy choice to be able to switch between these two states for the client.
-
The demo must be running or the client can be loaded through the test since the VizRT discussed earlier
-
Right-click on the icon Vizky down the right side of the desktop. Vizky icon is green with white text that says VZ
-
A menu will pop up. Select Graphic mode, and click Open GL
-
Answer with Yes in the dialog box to confirm the Open GL
-
You will then be informed that you have to run refresh the web browser. Click Yes in the dialog box and press the F5 key to refresh run on the browser
To return to the Direct X, it is only to repeat the procedure above and select DirectX.
